Aprize, PBC published its first white paper on May 29, 2025: Aprize Metrics: The Economic Rationale. The paper lays out the economic theory behind the Composite Local Impact Score (CLIS), a sector- and geography-aware metric for the share of organizational expenditure that remains in the local economy.
CLIS is built on two underlying measures: Local Spend Share (LSS), the share of an outlay that stays local on the first round; and Observed Local Multiplier (OLM), the additional retention from observed downstream re-spending.
