Mahafahatra (“Fafa”) Vonintsoa joined Aprize on July 24, 2025 as Economic Development Specialist. She leads the sustainable-development research, conception, and implementation behind Aprize’s community-impact work, with a particular focus on the Composite Local Impact Score (CLIS) methodology underneath the Economic Impact Platform.

Fafa brings a decade with the Sustainable Vanilla Initiative, where she consolidated human-rights and forest-positive commitments across the vanilla supply chain, and seven years in institutional economic development and project assessment. She co-founded HERi Madagascar, a pioneering solar-energy venture, and holds an MBA and a Master’s in International Business from I.N.S.C.A.E. (Antananarivo) and Université de Poitiers.

“The questions that matter for community economic development are inherently multi-stakeholder — investors, governments, foundations, anchor institutions, and the communities themselves,” Fafa said. “Aprize’s framing of community capital flows is the right unit of analysis for that conversation, and I am glad to help shape it.”
